Slipper

Slipper was a beautiful Yorshire Terrier that I drew in a loose style. This pet portrait was commisoned by the family for their mother to celebrate her birtday. Here is a little bit about her:

I always think of her rushing to the hallway as soon as she heard the key in the door then jumping up with excitement to give the greatest welcome home possible. She especially loved what we called her lap naps. Starting with a belly rub and then settling in for a long nap, still with an ear cocked for any unusual activity. I could go on and on about what she brought to our lives. She was some lady.
